“Before we came together as a partnership I hadn’t quite fathomed that everybody is singing from the same hymn sheet, yet we were all working in silos. Everybody was trying to target health inequalities in their own different ways, but now that we’ve come together and created a unified vision, I feel that the health inequalities agenda will move at pace. It’s an exciting place to be and I feel together we can make a difference for Wolverhampton.”

Rashi has been a GP for around 20 years working in various parts of the country before settling in Wolverhampton in 2015. During her carer she has had roles within the Local Commissioning Board as Chair before becoming the Clinical lead for Wolverhampton Place Integrated Care Board (ICB). She is Chair for the Clinical Quality and Risk Management Committee, Co-Chair for the Local Primary Care Collaborative (LPCC), Co-Chair for the Primary secondary Care Interface Group and sits on the One Wolverhampton Board as part of her role as Clinical Lead for Wolverhampton Place ICB.  She represents Wolverhampton at a number of key groups including the Clinical Policy Development Group (CPDG), Black Country Integrated Medicines Optimisation Group (IMOG), Medicines Optimisation Group (MOG), Joint Formulary Group (JFG), Palliative Care and the Black Country Collaborative.

Her main role is providing clinical representation, supporting the delivery of local services in line with key priorities and ensuring the voices of Wolverhampton citizens are heard as well as representing the voice of primary care colleagues. She also works at system level in particular around policy development to ensure the system is working together and policies are made more efficient and effective.    In her spare time Rashi enjoys baking and is keen to deepen and develop her passion for mental health – developing a happier and healthier atmosphere to live in.
