“What I love most about the partnership is the focus on inequalities and the passion and values that shine through the people I meet. There is a genuine desire to bring about change and make a difference to the lives of those who need it most. I’m a people person so working across so many organisations, and getting to meet so many different people, all with a different story to tell is a real privilege.”

Michelle started her career in the NHS 18 years ago and has experience working with a range of commissioner and provider NHS organisations, statutory bodies, voluntary and third sector organisations, service users and members of the public. She has significant media experience and throughout her career has often provided media advice and support to senior colleagues on matters which are highly confident, sensitive and contentious. She is also experienced in writing both proactive press releases and reactive media statements as well as advising on key messages for radio and TV interviews. She has a proven track record in managing and delivering internal and external communication and engagement campaigns using a mix of public relations, marketing, advertising and digital media.

Her current role requires her to build strong working relationships across partner organisations and take both a strategic and operational approach to her work. She attends key partner meetings to identify positive opportunities to promote the work of the partnership. She provides communications and engagement advice and support to colleagues in managing and maintaining their priorities and assists them to deliver projects on time and within budget. In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit by running and doing workouts at home, to fit in with her busy lifestyle as a mom of two young girls. She’s a real foodie and loves to cook and try new things. Another huge love is a holiday with a good book.
